The Celebrity Café recently tried out our Xdesk Terra and we couldn’t be happier with the results. They reported that after using the Xdesk desk, the way they viewed the traditional work space had completely changed. The user-friendly features and sustainable materials of the Xdesk Terra were given a five star rating!

After using the Xdesk Terra, Celebrity Cafe felt healthier, more productive and more energetic during the workday. What set the Terra apart from other adjustable height desks was its ability to transition quickly and smoothly, at 1.7 inches per second, from sitting to standing.

The movement was so smooth they didn’t even have to worry about spilling their morning cup of coffee or removing fragile items from the desktop. Celebrity Café also enjoyed the easy to use control panel and elegant bamboo finish.

They praised the user-friendly control system. It was extremely easy to set their preferred height for sitting and standing with the touch of a button. “With the press of a button the desk automatically rose to a preset desired height and there wasn’t any fussing around to get it just right.”

Celebrity Café also enjoyed the natural, sustainable materials used in the Xdesk desk, like solid bamboo and durable recycled aluminum frame. And the three year warranty was an added incentive.

Thanks to Celebrity Café for a solid review filled with positive comments and five stars. We hope they continue to enjoy the Xdesk Terra.

What new products do you want to see from Xdesk?

In our last post we told you about what’s coming up from Xdesk—the new Xdesk Solo. It has all of the great features of the classic Xdesk Terra—the LED screen, the sleek and modern look, and the smooth transitions. The only thing it lacks is size and price. The Xdesk Solo is a smaller, “mini” Xdesk Terra with a smaller price tag. It’s the perfect adjustable height desk for those smaller spaces—like your home office, kid’s desk or cubicle space.

So in announcing Xdesk’s new big thing, I got to thinking about the future of Xdesk. I got to thinking about how many cool products they could make. And I got to thinking, what would others like to see in their adjustable height desk?

Reviews all over the Internet can’t seem to get enough of Xdesk, but the one thing critics point to is a lack of storage space. Of course shelves and drawers don’t exactly fit into Xdesk’s streamlined look, but sometimes people want a place to put a book.

So would your ideal adjustable height desk perhaps have a set of drawers, or a shelf for storage? Perhaps a separate unit to keep your things? Or maybe it would have a coffee-maker and a foot massage built right in?

It doesn’t have to be entirely feasible and it doesn’t have to make sense (After all, there is a treadmill desk now). I just want to know, what does the adjustable height desk of your dreams look like?

What would you like to see next from Xdesk?

Please share your thoughts below! And who knows? Maybe your dream cappuccino-making, massage-giving, pink and blue polka dotted adjustable height desk will be our next “What’s Coming Up from Xdesk” post! You never know until you ask!

The Xdesk Solo is a smaller version of the Terra but with the same sleek, eco-friendly design.

If you ask me, Xdesk is the height of super-cool technology when it comes to adjustable height desks. Okay, you probably shouldn’t take my word for it—but you should listen to the folks at Wired, Cult of Mac, and Marco.org, right?

What would an adjustable height desk at the height of super-cool technology be without, well, super-cool and innovative new products?

That’s why Xdesk is constantly improving their products and prices, coming out with new accessories, and even coming up with new versions of their classic adjustable height desks that have done so well.

Today I thought I’d give you a sneak peak at what will be coming soon from the innovative folks at Xdesk.

Introducing the Xdesk Solo.

The Xdesk Solo is an adjustable height desk, just like the Xdesk Terra model, but it is smaller. Think of it like a mini-Xdesk Terra.

It is 24 inches deep, it operates on a single center column (instead of the two side columns of the larger model), and you can choose either 30 or 36 inches wide depending on how much stuff you’d like to litter your desk with.

Just like the larger Xdesk Terra, this guy is made out of only recycled aluminum and bamboo, so it’s environmentally friendly. It also has the same LED digital controller, the same microprocessor controlled lifting system, and the same clean, modern look.

In short, this adjustable height desk has taken all of the good elements of the larger Xdesk Terra and shrunken it down. This smaller wall-mounted model is perfect for kids’ rooms, home offices apartments, or where you might need to conserve space. Oh, and you’ll be conserving money too—this adjustable height desk costs less than $1,000 for both the 30 and 36 inch models.

So folks, it looks like I might be saying goodbye to my homemade “standing desk” now that this baby is coming out. The Xdesk Terra was just a bit too large for my little house. But now it looks like a Xdesk Solo adjustable height desk might be in my future.

Don’t worry, I’ll find another use for my kitchen chair. Perhaps I’ll even start cooking…
